The highly anticipated new album from Mystical Sun 'Energy Mind Consciousness' (EMC) will be available late August 2008. The new album delves deeply into textured sounds, atmospheres and lush soundscapes that are very notably the 'Mystical Sun' sound.
Escaping from standard genre classifications this album would fall broadly into downtempo, ambient and 'chillout' genres but even find it's place in many micro genres as well as creating it's own.
EMC - is easily an album that both pays homage to classic ambient and conceptual album fans and then still brings a whole new level of sound design to the table.

I just got it off iTunes. They have it now. It is really dubby... I like this album better than the last as it seems more focused and more like a journey...

did you get the CD or the mp3s? i ordered the cd direct from mystical sun's website. i also had the mp3s from itunes. the cd sounds MUCH bigger. the sound quality difference is stunning. it is like the stereo spectrum just opens up. which tracks do you like? i am partial to dark energy and holographic rain...

you'll find every audio medium has a difference in clarity.. mp3 is a more compressed sample rate.. cd will always sound better.. larger dynamic range, breathes more and espcially (reverbs and delays) glitter.. vinyl is cool too.. dont listen to the myths though both for better or worse.. mp3 is the most accessable / cheaper and if you dj a lot, the PA systems (tuned right) will sort you out.. tricky thing is some mp3 are louder than others..

personally i go with mp3 mainly cos i get the freshest tunes quicker.. if i love the record enough i'll buy the cd / vinyl for the collection..
